Abheek Barua

Abheek Barua is a seasoned economist with extensive experience in the banking sector. Currently serving as Chief Economist and Executive Vice President at HDFC Bank since June 2007, Abheek Barua plays a pivotal role in one of India's largest private sector banks, which operates a diverse range of banking services. Prior to this position, Abheek Barua was Vice President at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. from October 2004 to July 2007, where responsibilities included advising the board on strategic decisions and managing balance sheet activities.
