Andreas Bierschenk

Andreas started his career in the Hannover Re Group in 1997. He had various roles in the actuarial non-life department as well as later in the Groups’ Controlling Services division. In 2006 he became General Manager for Business Group Controlling for P&C as well as Life & Health reinsurance and was responsible for the implementation of Hannover Re’s Value Based Management Approach. Andreas has been actively involved in the re-domicile of Inter Hannover, mainly with the setup of the Risk Management, Actuarial and Compliance functions in the new head office. In 2015 Andreas became the Chief Risk Officer of HDI Global Specialty SE and from 1st January 2023 assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer, taking on the additional responsibility for Internal Audits. Since February 28th he also took over the responsibility for IT Management as well as for Project and Process Management.
