Margaret Morse is a project designer at HDLA since July 2022, with previous experience as a landscape design intern at TBG Partners from August 2020 to June 2021 and as a summer intern at SWT Design in May to July 2019. At SWT Design, Margaret contributed to the production of concept plans in Photoshop and InDesign for various park projects and drafted conceptual grading plans for neighborhood park designs. Prior internships include working with Fahr Greenhouses Inc. in summer 2018 as a member of the wholesale plant production crew and participating in a study abroad program at Purdue University in May 2018 to explore prominent English gardens. Margaret earned a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Purdue University, where studies spanned from 2017 to 2022, following a high school diploma from Parkway West High School attained in 2017.

HDLA was established in 1985 to provide comprehensive Planning, Landscape Architectural, and Urban Design services. The firm was created to serve a market that demands exceptional care, talent and motivation in the planning and implementation of built works in our environment. Firm Partners Richie Jones and Chris Barkley have over 34 years of collective experience working on design and planning projects locally, nationally and abroad. The firm is proud of its ability to discern the needs of our individual clients. Our projects range from large-scale master planning to site specific implementation. Services include landscape architecture, master planning, land-use planning, site analysis, urban infill and site design. We utilize an initial design approach that seeks authenticity by honoring local history and natural context while also pursuing imaginative and innovative solutions. We realize the crucial importance of meeting project budgets, submittal deadlines and the development of clear and thorough construction documents. We employ a pragmatic and efficient production process that places importance on the creation of designs that can succeed under various budget conditions and remain flexible during the value engineering process. Finally, we place great emphasis on sound and detail-oriented Construction Administration.
