Andrea Ryon

Andrea Ryon is a seasoned professional in the engineering and operations field, currently serving as Senior Vice President and Northeast Regional Director of Operations at HDR since July 2018. In this capacity, Andrea oversees operations in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia, collaborating with leadership to establish vision, develop talent, and ensure high-quality project delivery for clients. Prior to HDR, Andrea held the position of Senior Vice President at Michael Baker International, where responsibilities included leading operations in various engineering practices and managing large federal programs. Andrea's early career features roles as a Technical Manager at the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments and as a Project Manager and Civil Engineer at CH2M. Educationally, Andrea holds a BSE in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Duke University and an MS in Civil Engineering with a focus on Water Resources from Stanford University. Technical expertise encompasses NPDES, stormwater management, flood management, source water protection, and environmental assessments.
