Elena Wilken

Elena Wilken is a seasoned financial consultant and organizational leader with extensive experience in the affordable housing and transit advocacy sectors. Currently serving as Principal Financial Consultant at HDR since June 2022, Elena previously led Housing Colorado as Executive Director from September 2018 to February 2021, where efforts included hosting a significant annual conference. Prior to that, Elena was the Executive Director of the Colorado Association of Transit Agencies (CASTA), advocating for transit legislation over a 15-year tenure. Other professional roles include Assistant Director and Trainer at Janus Capital Group, customer service at North American Title, and various positions at organizations such as Great Harvest Bread Co. and the Worldwatch Institute. Elena holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado Denver and a BA in Political Science from Penn State University.
