Jim Keen

Jim Keen is an award-winning architect with over 25 years of experience spanning Europe, Australia, and North America. Currently serving as a Principal at HDR since January 2023, Jim's portfolio encompasses a diverse range of projects, including city-scale master plans, airports, laboratories, and educational buildings. Prior to HDR, Jim owned Jim Keen LLC from 2017 to 2022, providing consultancy services to major firms such as Apple, Google, and Uber. Jim's previous roles include Director positions at Gensler and Grimshaw, where involvement in significant projects like the Duke University Student Union and Doha International Airport Masterplan occurred. Early experience includes working as an Associate at KPF and Grimshaw, contributing to various notable projects in Europe and North America. Jim holds multiple degrees in architecture from Kingston University, including an RIBA Part 3 license.
