Katherine Mugan has a diverse work experience, starting in 2010 as the Operations & Marketing Manager at Direct-Ed Printing Services Ltd. In this role, they introduced back-office and shop-floor management tools to keep pace with the 20% YoY growth, and worked across purchasing and customer service, as well as running paid ads and direct mail campaigns to schools. In 2012, they were promoted three times to the senior leadership level at Fab.com, the fastest growing global e-commerce site of the year with a turnover of over £100m. In 2013, they were the Marketing & Tech Co-founder of RenewalsDesk Limited, a patent renewal SaaS that was acquired by global IP giant Questel in a multi-£m deal. Here, they conceptualized, built and brought to market a digital product. In 2014, they were the Head of E-Commerce Content & SEO at LoveCrafts, where they grew organic traffic 5x to 1.5m sessions/month, generating £1.1m/month in organic revenue at annual peak and growing leads 4x to 70k/month in 5 years. From 2019 to 2021, they were a Marketing Consultant at Jambo! SEO, and currently serves as the Marketing Director at HeadBox, where they are driving data-led and customer-led growth across the funnel from awareness to advocacy.

Katherine Mugan completed a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Cantab from the University of Cambridge from 2004 to 2008. Katherine then went on to obtain a Master of Philosophy in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge in 2009 and 2010. In 2014, they obtained the PRINCE2 Foundation certification from APMG-International. In 2022, they obtained certifications in Marketing Strategy and Growth Series (Cross-functional digital growth) from Reforge. Katherine is currently in progress for a certification in Retention & Engagement from Reforge.
