Mary Jewel Brown currently serves as the Director of Development at Headlands Center for the Arts, with a tenure beginning in February 2024. Prior to this role, Mary held the position of Director of Development at Ballroom Marfa from February 2023 to September 2023, and previously worked at Headlands Center for the Arts in various capacities including Interim Director of Development, Development Manager, and Program & Development Intern between September 2018 and February 2023. Earlier experience includes a Graduate Trainee position at Christie's and roles as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum, Archival Intern at Modern Graphic History Library, and Curatorial Assistant at White Flag Projects. Mary holds a Bachelor's degree in Design and Visual Arts from Washington University in St. Louis, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art and Design from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, and has completed a study abroad program in Fine and Studio Arts at Burren College of Art.
