Rob Dornier

Rob Dornier has a diverse range of work experience in the technology and communications field. Rob started their career as a Student Computer Technician at Texas A&M University in 2000. Rob then worked as a Senior Unified Communications Engineer at The VIA Group, Inc. from 2004 to 2010, where they designed, implemented, and supported Unified Communications solutions for clients. Additionally, they served as the Director of Training and Certification Programs at The VIA Group, and as a liaison for Avaya Beta and Microsoft UM TAP.

After their time at The VIA Group, Rob worked as a Unified Communications Specialist at Technology Solutions Group, Inc. from 2010 to 2013. In this role, they were responsible for engineering, implementation, and project management of voice messaging projects.

Following this, Rob worked as a Technical Consultant at Insource Technology in 2013, and then as a Project Manager and Support Desk Manager at The Via Group, Inc. from 2014 to 2016. In this position, they managed incoming ticket requests and scheduled resources for annuity maintenance customers.

In 2016, Rob joined LogicalisUS as a Project Manager, where they managed projects, teams, and financial reporting. Rob also handled budget management, resource scheduling, and customer and vendor expectations.

After working at LogicalisUS, Rob held multiple roles at ABNS - All Business Network Specialists from 2017 to 2019. As a Business Analyst and Senior Project Engineer, they worked on project planning, installation, and support for structured cabling, security, and technology migration projects.

Rob's most recent role, starting in 2019, has been as a Technology Evangelist & Project Manager at UnifiedCommunications.com. In this position, they integrate, configures, demonstrates, and supports various communication and collaboration solutions. Rob also works on customer, partner, and internal technology projects while delivering an exceptional experience to all stakeholders. Additionally, they assist in Managed Rooms project management tasks and technology assessments when time allows.

Rob Dornier began their education at Klein High School from 1992 to 1996, where they pursued a college preparatory curriculum. During this time, they focused on subjects such as engineering, computer programming, and education. After graduating from high school, Rob enrolled at Texas A&M University from 1996 to 2003. Rob obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Geography and minors in Military Leadership (ROTC), Business, GIS, and Urban Planning.

In addition to their formal education, Rob Dornier has obtained various certifications throughout their career. In 2004, they achieved the CompTIA A+ certification. More recently, in 2018, they obtained the Workspaces Technical Sales Accreditation from BlackBerry, as well as the Blackberry System Integration Professional (BSIP) Accreditation and the Blackberry Support Professional (BSP) Accreditation. In the same year, Rob also acquired the NSE 1 Network Security Associate certification from Fortinet. Furthermore, they obtained several certifications from Avaya, including the Avaya Professional Specialist - Sales (APSS) - Avaya Midmarket Solutions in 2018, the Avaya Support Professional Specialist (ASPS) - Avaya Modular Messaging® with Microsoft Exchange in 2013, the Avaya Certified Support Specialist (ACSS) - Avaya Aura® Messaging in 2012, the Avaya Certified Support Specialist (ACSS) - Avaya Modular Messaging® with Avaya Message Store in 2011, and the Avaya Support Professional Specialist (ASPS) - Avaya one-X® Speech in 2013. Lastly, in 2020, Rob obtained the Microsoft Collaboration Solutions 2019 certificate from HP and the Basic Plus (19BH) certification from the Houston Area Safety Council.
