Julie Chu has extensive work experience in the education industry. Julie is currently working at Maple Bear Canadian International Kindergarten Hong Kong, where they have held various roles such as School Principal, Acting Principal, and Education Development and Operations Director since 2019. Prior to this, they worked at Headstart Group Ltd as the Managing Director of School Business, General Manager of Teacher Recruitment and Management, and General Manager of TEFL Business. Julie also served as a Service Manager at Wall Street English from 2012 to 2014. Before that, they worked as a Native English Teacher at Headstart Group Ltd from 2009 to 2012. Julie also has experience as an English Teacher at Kwun Tong Lutheran College and Modus Excellente Education Centre. Additionally, Julie has worked as a French Teacher at Delia Memorial School (Hip Wo).
Julie Chu has an extensive education history. Julie completed their Bachelor of Language Studies in English Language and Literature/Letters at the Open University of Hong Kong from 2014 to 2018. Following that, they pursued an Executive Masters of Arts in Leadership and Change in Educational Leadership and Administration, General at the Education University of Hong Kong from 2018 to 2020. Julie continued their studies in the field of Early Childhood Education and Teaching, earning a Postgraduate Degree of Education (ECE) from the University of Hong Kong from 2020 to 2022. Most recently, in 2022, they obtained a Certification for Kindergarten Principals in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
