Coastal and Marine Scientist at Heal the Bay

Emily Parker has extensive experience in the field of marine and environmental conservation. Emily currently works at Heal the Bay as a Coastal and Marine Scientist, where they advocate for coastal and marine issues and analyzes legislation on topics such as plastic pollution and sustainable fisheries management. Prior to this, Emily worked at Waterfront Education as a Program Coordinator, where they coordinated and managed educational programs and taught curriculum on marine biology. Emily Parker has a Master's degree in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation from UC San Diego, which they obtained from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Environmental Studies from Elon University, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. In addition, Emily has acquired several SCUBA diving certifications, including Advanced SCUBA Diver and Rescue SCUBA Diver from NAUI Worldwide in September 2017, and Open Water SCUBA Diver from PADI in November 2014. It's worth noting that there is no information available regarding their attainment of the Nitrox SCUBA Diver certification.
