Health Action Alliance
Steven Levine is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership and communication roles across various organizations. As Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Meteorite since 2017, Levine has focused on building coalitions to address societal challenges. Levine also co-founded the Health Action Alliance in 2021, aimed at improving the business community's response to public health issues, including COVID-19. In addition, Levine served as the Founding Director of the Civic Alliance, promoting civic engagement and democratic participation among businesses. Previous experience includes a Vice President role at Univision Communications Inc., where Levine directed social impact initiatives and founded the company's LGBT employee resource group. Additional roles at NBCUniversal and Comcast contribute to a well-rounded background in marketing, communications, and public service, bolstered by degrees from NYU Stern School of Business and New York University.
Health Action Alliance
The Health Action Alliance is a unique partnership between leading business, communications and public health organizations designed to strengthen the business community’s response to COVID-19 and other infectious diseases, improve workplace mental health, and help employers prepare for future public health emergencies. Health Action Alliance is a joint initiative of Ad Council, Business Roundtable, the CDC Foundation, the de Beaumont Foundation, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation — in partnership with Meteorite. ––– The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed deep vulnerabilities in our nation’s public health infrastructure, resulting in lost lives, lost jobs, and erosion of years of progress across our economy. Through collective action and coordinated communications, starting with the COVID-19 vaccine, we can help improve the health of our country and our economy by: • Promoting COVID-19 prevention and vaccine acceptance. • Building trust in science and strengthening public health so we can be better prepared in the future. • Advancing health equity by addressing the needs of disproportionately affected communities.
