Marianne Amoss

Senior Editor at Health Affairs

Marianne Amoss currently serves as Senior Editor at Health Affairs, overseeing the Forefront series focused on Medicare and Medicaid integration and perinatal mental health. In addition, Marianne holds the position of interim co-chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Council and leads the Parents & Caregivers Employee Resource Group, while also mentoring in the Health Equity Fellowship for Trainees (HEFT) Program. An experienced freelance writer and editor since 2007, Marianne has contributed to various organizations, including Johns Hopkins University as an adjunct instructor and thesis advisor in the M.A. in Science Writing Program. Previous roles include Director of Communications at the Bloomberg American Health Initiative and the Bill & Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health, as well as communications positions at Notre Dame of Maryland University and Urbanite magazine. Marianne holds a Master of Arts in Science Writing from Johns Hopkins University and a BA in English and Spanish from Notre Dame of Maryland University.
