David Gorrell

David Gorrell, PMP, serves as the Director and Senior Project Manager at Carle Foundation Hospital since December 2011, while also holding the position of Manager of the Project Management Office at Health Alliance Medical Plans since 2011. Gorrell oversees a corporate project portfolio encompassing business expansions, federally mandated requirements, and outsourcing solutions, and is responsible for reporting project status to senior staff with actionable plans for at-risk projects. Previously, Gorrell worked as a Project Manager at Horizon Hobby from 2008 to 2011, where innovative SharePoint Services were implemented to reduce outsourcing costs, alongside managing a successful B2B website overhaul. Gorrell's career began at State Farm from 2003 to 2008 as a Software Release Coordinator, facilitating project planning and resource coordination. Gorrell holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from Eastern Illinois University, obtained between 1988 and 1992.
