Cathy Nagy

Cathy Nagy, RHIT, serves as the Manager of Risk Adjustment Coding and Education at Health Alliance Plan since June 2016, managing risk adjustment activities and ensuring compliance with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Previously, Cathy held various roles at HealthPlus of Michigan from June 2009 to June 2016, including Administrator II for Benefit Interpretation, where responsibilities included analyzing Medicare, Medicaid, and Affordable Care Act policies, and Manager of the Medical Audit and Special Investigations Unit, focusing on claims payment verification. Cathy's early experience also includes roles at Urological Services, United Surgical Partners International, Premier Physician Billing, McLaren Lapeer, and University of Michigan Health System, with a strong background in coding, auditing, and medical record management. Cathy earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Health Services Administration from Baker College of Flint and an Associate of Science in Medical Record Technology from Baker College Business and Corporate Services.
