Heather Spencer

Heather Spencer has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on administration and operations. Heather currently holds the position of Vice President of Enterprise Operations at Health Alliance Plan, where they lead and coordinates various departments and activities. Prior to this, they served as the Managing Director of Medicare Plan Operations at Advantasure, overseeing multiple operational aspects of BPO Medicare plans. Heather also held the role of Vice President of Configuration and Provider Data Management at Evolent Health, where they managed configuration administration for various lines of business. Their previous experience includes positions such as Director of Business Configuration for BCN at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Senior Consultant at Attain, LLC. Heather started their career as an Account Manager at Continental American Insurance Company and later held roles at Benefitfocus and The Benefit Company, Inc. / Benefitfirst. Heather's expertise lies in strategic planning, operations management, client relationship management, and system configuration.

Heather Spencer attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communication Studies and Marketing. Heather also studied Journalism at Western Michigan University. Additionally, they obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in June 2015, and a Business Process Model Notation certification in August 2011.
