Gus Carroll

Gus Carroll is an accomplished leader in safety, engineering, and operational risk management, currently serving as the CEO and Founder of Empirisys since October 2020, a tech startup focused on enhancing safety and performance in high hazard sectors through data science. Since June 2022, Gus has also chaired the COMAH Strategic Forum at the Health and Safety Executive. Prior experience includes significant roles at Centrica, where responsibilities spanned managing engineering risk across various energy sectors and establishing a new process safety system. Gus held key positions at RSA and Yule Catto & Co plc, leading initiatives in operational risk and health, safety, and environmental strategies. Educational credentials include an MBA from Henley Business School and an MSc in Process Engineering from Imperial College London.
