Mark Wilson

Mark Wilson is an experienced planning and operations professional with a robust background in regulatory and infrastructure planning. Currently serving as Operational Lead for Planning Gateway One at the Health and Safety Executive since November 2021, Mark oversees fire safety consultation for tall residential developments. Prior to this, Mark held various significant roles, including Operations Manager - Energy at The Planning Inspectorate and Associate Planner at Arup. Mark's career highlights include leading a multidisciplinary team at The Planning Inspectorate for nationally significant infrastructure projects and providing planning policy advice during a secondment at HM Treasury. Mark's foundational experience includes roles in planning enforcement and development control at Brighton & Hove City Council and team formation at the Infrastructure Planning Commission. Educational qualifications comprise a Diploma and Bachelor's Degree in Town Planning from The University of Sheffield.
