Candice Abbott

Candice Abbott is the Health Care District of Palm Beach County’s Chief Financial Officer. Previously, she served as Vice President, Chief Clinical Integration Officer for the District leading the Revenue Cycle, Referral Management, HEDIS Quality and Patient Engagement teams.

Abbott has more than 20 years of experience partnering with hospital, physician and community leaders. She has worked on aligning innovative care delivery models and financial operations, realizing revenue, cost-savings and executing strategic initiatives.

Before joining the Health Care District, Abbott served as the Regional Executive Director for Cleveland Clinic Florida Integrated Health Network and Medicare ACO. She was responsible for network operations and delivering high quality healthcare while simultaneously reducing the total cost of care to patients from Broward to Brevard County.

Prior to that, Abbott served as the Assistant Vice President of Finance for Martin Health System in Stuart, Florida overseeing Revenue Cycle, Reimbursement, Coding, CDI and Revenue Integrity.

Abbott has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and is currently pursuing her Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management. She is a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) and is certified in several Epic revenue cycle applications.

Currently, she serves on the Board of Helping People Succeed and is a former Board Member and Director of Education for the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) Florida Chapter.
