Patrick Norton

Patrick Norton is the current Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer at Tulane University. Patrick has extensive experience in finance and administration, having served as Vice President for Finance and Treasurer at Middlebury College from January 2003 to August 2016, and Associate Controller at Teachers College, Columbia University from January 1998 to December 2003.

At Middlebury, Norton was responsible for fiscal management, human resources, facilities and capital planning, student financial services, information technology and auxiliary and administrative services. Patrick was also heavily involved in strategic initiatives, particularly in idea generation, negotiation of deal terms, financial modeling, and implementation and oversight.

At Teachers College, Norton was responsible for fiscal management, investment management, administrative services, and financial systems. Patrick was also the college representative to the Investment Committee and the Business and Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees, and chaired the Management Network while being a member of the Policy Advisory Group.

Patrick Norton has a Doctor of Education from Northeastern University, a Master of Arts from Columbia University, and a BBA from The University of Texas at Austin. Patrick is also certified as a Certified Public Accountant from Louisiana, Vermont, and Texas, and as a Certified Treasury Professional from The Association for Financial Professionals.
