Shaun Adriel Stone is an experienced counselor specializing in substance abuse addiction and co-occurring conditions at Health Care Resource Centers since May 2017. Previously, Shaun held the role of Milieu Coordinator at Eating Recovery Center from January 2015 to December 2016, focusing on group and individual counseling while utilizing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Additional experience includes serving as a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern at The Vine Wellness Group and as a Student-Counselor Intern at both the Eating Disorder Center at San Antonio and Community Family Life Center, where Shaun engaged in counseling for diverse populations including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Health Care Resource Centers ("HCRC"), formerly known as Community Substance Abuse Centers, is a very well-established company which provides integrated medical and counseling approaches grounded in an individualized recovery-oriented philosophy that treats addiction as a bio-psychosocial disease. These services include pharmacological treatment with methadone and other medications in combination with individual and group counseling sessions. Treatment is driven by individualized objective goals. HIV/AIDS screening, education, and counseling services are provided for all patients. Our philosophy of care recognizes addiction as a primary disease, emphasizes the need for compassion, and encourages a drug-free lifestyle.
