Vanessa Flores

Vanessa Flores has a diverse work experience in the healthcare and leadership sectors. In 2007, they started their career at COPE Health Solutions, holding positions such as Assistant Vice President, Marketing & External Affairs, Director, Marketing & External Affairs, and Manager, Government and Public Relations. Vanessa then went on to work at LA Health Foundation as a Board Administrator starting in 2016.

In 2019, Vanessa joined Health Care Executives of Southern California as the Chair of Communications, where they remained until 2021. During this time, they also served as the President of Women in Health Administration of Southern California from 2015 to 2016.

Vanessa's involvement in leadership programs includes being a Riordan Fellow at the Southern California Leadership Network in 2017 and a Leadership LA Fellow at the same organization in 2013. Additionally, they participated in the Executive Fellowship program at the Coro Center for Civic Leadership from 2011 to 2012.

Most recently, they have taken up a role as the Director of Communications, Alumni Engagement, and Project Implementation at Health Career Connection in 2021. Overall, Vanessa has demonstrated expertise in communications, marketing, external affairs, and leadership across their various roles.

Vanessa Flores has a Master's Degree in Communication Management from the University of Southern California. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology from Loyola Marymount University.
