Stephen Barker

Stephen Barker is an experienced occupational therapist with a diverse work history in both clinical and educational settings. Stephen started their career in 1999 in the NHS and Independent Health Sector, specializing in orthopaedics, trauma, acute medical, stroke, and neuro rehabilitation. From 2007 to 2013, they worked in education, providing clinical instruction on the undergraduate program while continuing to work remotely for a case management company. Stephen then moved to South Africa and took on the role of Occupational Therapist and Educator at the University of Cape Town from 2013 to 2019. During this time, they also worked clinically and in management. In 2019, they worked as a Therapist Network Director at The OT Practice and as an Occupational Therapist on a locum basis. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Personal Injury Clinical Operations at HCML starting from 2023.

Stephen Barker completed their Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Cape Town from 1995 to 1998. Stephen attended Brakpan High School from 1989 to 1993 and completed their primary education at Brenthurst Primary School from 1982 to 1988.
