Raphael Cohen

Raphael Cohen has a diverse work experience in the field of AI and machine learning. Raphael is currently serving as the Director of AI Systems at the Health Data Analytics Institute (HDAI) since May 2023.

Before that, they were the Manager of Machine Learning Operations at PathAI from May 2022 to May 2023. In this role, they led a team of MLOps engineers, directed an initiative to optimize the core machine learning library, and facilitated revenue-generating projects with direct customers.

Prior to that, Raphael worked at Brigham and Women's Hospital as a Senior Machine Learning Scientist from July 2020 to May 2022. During this time, they managed a data science team, secured grant funding, and developed cloud-scale AI research platforms for medical imaging and electronic health records.

Their earlier experience includes working as a Research ML Scientist and Tech Lead at CCDS from February 2018 to July 2020. In this role, they developed clinical ML models using deep learning approaches, collaborated with clinicians, and led the development of AI pipeline tools.

Throughout their career, Raphael has demonstrated a strong expertise in AI, machine learning, and data science, with a focus on healthcare applications.

Raphael Cohen completed their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science at Brandeis University. After that, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business, with the anticipated completion in 2024.
