Aisha Hasan, MBA, PMP, CSM has a diverse work experience in the field of health information technology and policy. Aisha started their career in 2008 as a Policy Intern at the Office of the Governor in Maryland. Aisha then worked at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as a Health Policy Fellow in 2010. The following year, they joined The National Institutes of Health as a Finance Analyst. In 2011, Aisha transitioned to The White House as a Domestic & Economic Policy Intern in the office of the Vice President, and later as a Policy Manager in the Office of Management and Budget.
In 2011, Aisha returned to HHS as a Program Manager in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health, where they served until 2014. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Senior Policy Advisor in the Division of Health System Policy at HHS.
Aisha then joined the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), where they held various roles. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Senior Advisor to the National Coordinator for Health IT, providing guidance on health IT strategy, policies, standards, and programs. Aisha then became the Deputy Director from 2017 to 2018. As the Head of Global Health IT from 2018, they led ONC's global health IT programs, projects, standards, policies, strategy, and stakeholder engagement, with a focus on user-centered design and empowering individuals in their care.
In 2018, Aisha transitioned to Apple as a Senior Advisor in the Health Team. In this role, they brought their expertise to support Apple's health initiatives.
