Bernard Allen

Bernard Allen is an experienced communications professional specializing in the healthcare sector. Currently serving as Communications Lead for both the Peninsula Imaging Network and the Peninsula Pathology Network since February 2023, Bernard is responsible for developing strategic communications for innovative NHS imaging and pathology services in the south-west. Alongside this, Bernard works as a Communications Consultant for the Health Innovation Network, supporting various projects and a new website launch. Previous roles include providing communications support for the East Midlands Academic Health Science Network and leading communications at the South West Academic Health Science Network. Bernard's extensive experience also includes interim consultancy for the Kent Surrey Sussex Academic Health Science Network, engagement support for the National Wound Care Strategy Programme, and contributions to NHS England's Accelerated Access Collaborative. Bernard holds a degree in Chemistry from the University of East Anglia and a CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing.
