Ken Rooks

Ken Rooks has extensive experience in the medical field. Ken is currently employed as the Regional Medical Director at Health Net Federal Services since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Physician at HippoHealth. Ken also has coaching experience, serving as the Middle School Girls Basketball Coach at Prospect Ridge Academy from January 2016 to May 2023. In terms of medical roles, they worked as an Emergency Medicine Physician and Medical Director at US Acute Care Solutions from April 2004 to September 2022 and October 2015 to June 2022, respectively. Ken also served as an Emergency Medicine Physician at GEMS - Athens Regional Medical Center from July 2001 to April 2004. Ken's earlier experience includes being an Emergency Medicine Resident at Hennepin Healthcare from June 1998 to June 2001 and an Army Medic in the US Army from January 1991 to March 1991. Ken also served as an Army Medic in the Michigan Army National Guard from October 1988 to December 1990 and in the US Army from October 1986 to October 1988.

Ken Rooks obtained a Bachelor's degree in MCDB from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1994. Ken then attended the University of Colorado School of Medicine from 1994 to 1998, where they earned a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. In 2002, Ken Rooks obtained certification as an American Board of Emergency Medicine Diplomate from the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
