Sonia McAllister

Sonia McAllister is an experienced professional in human resources and development, currently serving as a People & Development Advisor at Te Whatu Ora Tairāwhiti since August 2023. Prior to this role, Sonia held the position of Circulation Manager at The Gisborne Herald from February to August 2023 and served as HR & Compliance Manager at Thompson's Horticulture from May 2019 to February 2023. Earlier experience includes HR Manager and HR Coordinator roles at Opotiki Packing & Coolstorage Ltd from May 2012 to 2018, along with a position as a Recruitment Resourcer at Brunel from June 2011 to January 2012. Sonia holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Management with a focus on Human Resource Management from the University of Otago, completed in 2010.
