Abbe Anderson

Abbe Anderson is an experienced healthcare leader currently serving as the National Director of Commissioning at Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand since September 2022. With a strong commitment to governance, Abbe has held various significant roles including Non Executive Director and Independent Member of the Audit Finance and Risk Committee at Beyond Blue since September 2020. Previous positions include Non Executive Director at Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service, Executive Advisor at Brisbane North PHN, and Strategic Policy Advisor at the Institute for Urban Indigenous Health, among others. Abbe's extensive leadership experience also includes serving as CEO at Brisbane North PHN, Metro North Brisbane Medicare Local, and GPpartners over a span of nearly two decades. Academic achievements include a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health and Community Medicine from UNSW and an MBA from the University of Otago, complemented by a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance from the Governance Institute of Australia.
