Peter Blackwell

Peter Blackwell is a seasoned procurement professional with extensive experience in both public and private sectors. Currently serving as the Group Manager Infrastructure Procurement at Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand since November 2023, Peter has held significant roles including Head of Procurement & Commercial at Waitematā District Health Board and Programme Manager at Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency. A member of the New Zealand Institute of Procurement and Supply since May 2014, Peter's career began at ASB Bank as a Project Manager, with prior positions that include facilitation management at Air New Zealand and strategic sourcing at Spark New Zealand. Peter holds an MBA in Procurement from Procurement Leaders and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Alberta.
