Sonny Taite

Sonny Taite serves as the National Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand and the Chief Information Security Officer for the five South Island District Health Boards. In addition, Sonny holds the position of Chairperson and Advisory Board Member at Sonny Toki Māori Trade Training Board, which focuses on enhancing educational and employment equity for Māori. Sonny is also a Board Member at RDU 98.5FM and previously worked as a Technologist and Project Manager at Tokona Te Raki. Prior experience includes various leadership roles at Datacom from 2011 to January 2021, contributing to cybersecurity, network management, and service process innovation. Education includes a Postgraduate Degree in Business/Information Governance from The University of Auckland and multiple nanodegrees in AI Product Management and Business Analytics from Udacity.
