Medical Director, Provider Appeals at Health Partners Plans

Tzvi Jonas, MD, MBA has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Tzvi currently serves as the Medical Director at Brooklyn Gardens Nursing And Rehabilitation Center, where they oversee the clinical care of a 240-bed facility, provides management and leadership to the medical staff, and drives quality improvement initiatives. Prior to this role, Dr. Jonas worked as an Attending in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Health System and as a Medical Director in Provider Appeals at Health Partners Plans. Tzvi was also the Chief Medical Officer at SHEEPSHEAD NURSING AND REHABILITATION and served as the Project Team Leader for a Collaborative Innovation Project in Telemedicine for Samsung at the Mack Institute for Innovation Management. In addition, Dr. Jonas has extensive experience at UMass Memorial Medical Center, where they were the Director of the Malnutrition Program, a Hospitalist in Internal Medicine, and the Director of programs such as Simple Scripts and iPhone Transition. Tzvi has also worked as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and completed their medical residency at Tufts Medical Center.

Tzvi Jonas, MD, MBA pursued their education chronologically with a Bachelor's degree in Biology, General from Binghamton University from the years 2002 to 2005. Subsequently, they attended Thomas Jefferson University from 2006 to 2010 and obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Lastly, from 2017 to 2019, they studied at The Wharton School, acquiring a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
