Tristan Roberts

Tristan Roberts has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Tristan currently serves as a Representative in the Vermont General Assembly for the State of Vermont. Prior to this, they were a Selectboard member for the Town of Halifax, responsible for legislative governance. Tristan also owns and operates Quill Nook Farm, a homestead and tree farm. In addition, Tristan held positions at the Health Product Declaration Collaborative, where they served as Chief Technologist and Director of Technical and Education Programs. Tristan co-founded and facilitated projects for The Laurentia Project, working with design firms and organizations to improve their performance. Tristan has also worked at BuildingGreen, Inc as Chief Strategy Officer, Publisher & Executive Editor, and Editorial Director. Tristan was a guest researcher at the Stanford Persuasive Technology Lab and an Adjunct Faculty Member at the Boston Architectural College. Tristan started their career as a Writer & Editor and as a marketer for Marlboro College.

Tristan Roberts began their education at Phillips Academy, where they completed their high school education from 1993 to 1996. Following that, they attended Marlboro College from 1998 to 2000, earning a B.A. degree in Cognitive Science and Philosophy. In 2006, they pursued further studies at the Boston Architectural College, where they obtained a Certificate in Sustainable Design.

Additionally, Tristan has obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2007, they became a LEED AP BD+C (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional with a specialty in Building Design and Construction) through the U.S. Green Building Council. Tristan also achieved a Certified Hypnotist certification from the National Guild of Hypnotists in 2001. Tristan holds the title of a Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) Master Practitioner & Trainer from the National Federation of Neurolinguistic Programming, acquired in 2003. Tristan expanded their expertise by completing the Behavior Design Boot Camp from BJ Fogg Behavior Academy in November 2014 and the Certified Coach – Tiny Habits program from Tiny Habits Academy Masterclass in December 2014. In 2016, Tristan obtained the Living Future Accreditation (LFA) from the International Living Future Institute. Furthermore, they became a LEED Faculty member and achieved the Green Globes Professional certification in 2016 and 2014, respectively.
