Health Research Alliance
Alycia Halladay is a distinguished professional in the field of psychology and research, currently serving as a Board Member for Health Research Alliance and an Adjunct Lecturer at Rutgers University since January 2018. As Chief Science Officer at the Autism Science Foundation since September 2014, Alycia has made significant contributions to autism research. Previous roles include Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Foundation in 2024 and Board President from 2021 to 2022, as well as Senior Director of Environmental and Clinical Science and Director of Research for Environmental Sciences at Autism Speaks from 2005 to 2014. The Health Research Alliance, a collaborative member organization of nonprofit research funders, is committed to maximizing the impact of biomedical research to improve human health. Representing more than 100 nonprofit funders having invested over $25 billion in biomedical research and training, HRA advances its work by: -Fostering open communication and collaboration among and between funders and the broader research community. -Collecting and sharing comprehensive data and analysis about nonprofit funding for biomedical research and training. -Providing leadership, knowledge, tools, and opportunities to promote innovative and effective grantmaking. -Addressing issues key to accelerating research discovery and its translation. HRA members have a shared interest in speeding the translation of biomedical science into applications that improve health, and in identifying and adopting effective practices in funding health research.
