Alberto Molares

Alberto Molares is a Bioinformatics Analyst at the Health Research Institute of Santiago de Compostela since January 2019, providing bioinformatics and biostatistics support for research initiatives. Previous roles include Technical Support Staff at Universidade de Vigo, where Alberto offered bioinformatics support for invertebrate experiments and conducted GC-MS analysis for marine contaminants. As a founding member of FISHING TRAP SL, Alberto developed a patented invention in commercial fishing. Experience as a Clinical Research Assistant at the Fundación para la I+D+i del Complexo Hospitalario Xeral-Calde involved coordinating a support unit for methodology and statistics in research. Additional roles include Junior postdoc researcher at the University of Vigo, focusing on translational biomedical research, and as a Predoc student at Fundación Biomédica del CHUVI, managing bioinformatics activities and a corporate website. Alberto earned a PhD in Chemistry from Universidade de Vigo and a Master's degree in Applied Statistics from U.N.E.D.
