Rumeysa Basdas is a dedicated researcher currently pursuing a PhD at the Health Research Institute of Santiago de Compostela since February 2023, where also serves as a Junior Researcher. Prior experience includes a research student role at Universidad de Cantabria from December 2020 to June 2021, focusing on the CREB-dependent transcriptome in Merkel Cell Carcinoma cells. Rumeysa worked on a project related to mitochondrial DNA analysis at Istanbul University, earning grants from IUBAP and TUBITAK in the process. Additional research involvement includes an internship at Istanbul Experimental Research and Development Center, where participation in animal testing was undertaken. Educational qualifications encompass a Master's degree in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine from Universidad de Cantabria, and Bachelor's degrees in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Istanbul University, as well as in Genética e Biotecnologia from Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro.
