Francesco Maria Petrini is a seasoned professional in the field of biomedical engineering and neuroprosthetics, currently serving as a participant in the 2024 cohort of Health Wildcatters with the startup Sensars, which was selected from 700 applicants. As the founder and CEO of Sensars since June 2014, Francesco has a strong background in developing advanced strategies for improving prosthetic performance through human peripheral nervous system interfacing, acquired during postdoctoral tenures at ETH Zurich and EPFL. With a PhD in Neuroprosthetics from Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma and a master's degree in medical engineering from University of Rome Tor Vergata, Francesco has also managed EU projects and contributed to significant research in biomedical robotics and nerve signal processing.
