Peiling Yap

Peiling Yap is a highly experienced scientist currently serving as the Chief Scientist at HealthAI since October 2023. Prior to this role, Peiling served as Chief Scientist at I-DAIR from August 2020 to September 2023 and held the position of Senior Epidemiologist at Tan Tock Seng Hospital from January 2016 to May 2019. Peiling's expertise in epidemiology began as an Epidemiologist at the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute, where employment was from January 2014 to November 2015, following a PhD candidacy at the same institute from September 2010 to November 2013. Early experience includes research internships at Novartis Institute for Tropical Diseases, RheoGene, and the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology. Peiling Yap holds a PhD in Epidemiology from the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute, an MSc in Infectious Diseases, Vaccinology and Drug Discovery from the National University of Singapore, and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the National University of Singapore, along with a background in Technopreneurship from the University of Pennsylvania.
