Dr. Sophie Mcfarland PhD RD AFHEA is an experienced dietitian currently serving as the Primary Care Dietitian Lead at Healthcare Central London since January 2023. Previously, Dr. Mcfarland held roles such as Clinical Researcher at On The Mend and Senior Dietitian at Parkside Hospital & Cancer Centre London. With a background that includes specializing in dietetics at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust and pursuing a PhD at Coventry University, Dr. Mcfarland has contributed significantly to community projects both locally and abroad, including initiatives focused on education and health in rural areas. Healthcare Central London is a federation of 33 General Practices in Westminster caring for more than 276,000 registered patients. We provide community and primary care services to our local residents in addition to a wide range of staffing, management and administrative support to our Practices. We work closely with our Primary Care Networks, local NHS commissioners, local authorities, charities, and NHS providers in order to develop and implement an Integrated Care System (ICS). By coordinating health and social care in this way, we believe we can help people stay well and live healthier lives for longer.
