Bret Updegraff

Bret Updegraff is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in data analytics, technology management, and engineering. Currently serving as the VP of Data Analytics and Engineering at HCM: Healthcare Chaos Management since October 2025, Bret previously held positions at Mesh Systems as Technology Principal IOT, where expertise in IoT solutions for Fortune 500 companies was demonstrated. As Engagement Manager at Resultant, Bret showcased leadership in listening and problem-solving within a diverse team. Bret also served as Technology Practice Director at Fusion Alliance, managing operations and mentoring leaders, and as Practice Director at DMI, where growth and strategy for the Data Platform & Analytics team were paramount. Additionally, Bret's foundational career includes the role of Director of Technology - Healthcare at Crowe and prior roles in web development and organizational leadership. Education includes a degree in Special Education from Indiana State University.
