Matthew McFarlane

Matthew McFarlane PSM is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership roles within the public and nonprofit sectors. Currently serving as Director and Acting General Manager at Healthdirect Australia since December 2021, Matthew has previously held the position of Director Disaster Welfare at Resilience NSW from December 2017 to December 2021. Prior to that, a significant tenure at the Department of Family and Community Services (NSW) included roles such as Senior Business Representative for Child Story, Director, and Executive Director of Statewide Services. Earlier experiences include Business Partner at Life Without Barriers and various management positions within child protection services. Matthew holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from Western Sydney University and has completed programs at the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the University of Sydney.
