Penny Weigand

Penny Weigand is an experienced dietitian with a focus on bariatric and gastro-surgical care. Currently employed at Healthe Care Australia since March 2022, Penny works in a Bariatric Surgery Outpatient Clinic. Penny has also served as a bariatric dietitian at St George Private Hospital since April 2017, supporting patients through pre and post-operative care. With tenure at Southern Sydney Dietetics beginning in January 2016, Penny manages a caseload of bariatric and upper GI surgical patients. Additional experience includes roles as a product specialist at FitForMe and a paediatric dietitian at Sydney Children's Hospitals Network, where a diverse range of medical conditions was addressed. Penny holds a Bachelor of Nutrition & Dietetics from the University of Wollongong and a Bachelor of International Studies from Western Sydney University. Previous leadership roles include positions on the NSW DAA Executive Committee.
