Jason Bates

Jason Bates has extensive experience in network and infrastructure architecture, currently serving as a Senior Network Architect at HealthEquity since April 2016, where responsibilities include the design for network, SDN, SD-WAN, and datacenter solutions. Prior to this role, Jason held the position of Senior Network Engineer, focusing on network and network security design for new sites and the nationwide implementation of BGP within an MPLS network. From April 2012 to March 2016, Jason was the President of Sapphire Datacenters, providing consulting and IT infrastructure design as well as developing technical specifications for government and commercial projects. Earlier in Jason's career, as Infrastructure Administrator for Midland County from August 2006 to February 2015, significant contributions included transforming the county's IT infrastructure into a leading entity in Texas and overseeing the development of a new datacenter from inception to completion.
