Alan English

Alan English has over 20 years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and business intelligence. Alan most recently worked at HealthHelp as the Lead Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence, where they managed a team and designed the architecture of the data warehouse framework. Prior to that, Alan was the Senior Data Architect at Barrick Gold Corporation and the Senior Data Warehouse Architect at Voxent, where they designed and developed data warehousing solutions. Alan also has experience as a BI Architect and Data Modeler at Aurora Loan Services, a Senior Data Modeler at Catholic Health Initiatives, and a Lead Data Architect at Current LLC. Alan has a strong background in dimensional modeling, implementing ETL processes, and creating data models. Alan is skilled in tools such as ER-Studio, Erwin Platinum, and MS Visio, and has worked with databases such as SQL Server and Oracle. Throughout their career, Alan has demonstrated a focus on optimizing data workflows and ensuring optimal performance of databases.

Alan English earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Management Information Systems, with a general focus, from the University of Central Florida from 1997 to 2000. Alan later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Information Technology from the UCF College of Business, completing it from 2000 to 2002. In addition to their formal education, Alan has obtained several certifications in various subjects, including Python Statistics, Advanced SQL, C# programming, PowerShell, NoSQL Data Modeling, and others. These certifications were obtained from LinkedIn, with the most recent obtained in November 2019 and January 2020.
