Caroline Pilot

Caroline Pilot has extensive experience in the medical and digital health fields, currently serving as the Acting Chief Medical Officer and Head of Clinical Product at HealthHero since June 2021. In addition, Caroline holds the position of Honorary Professor of Algorithmic Medicine at De Montfort University, contributing significantly to the evaluation of digital health technologies. Caroline also works as an Honorary Clinical Research Fellow at Imperial College London, focusing on clinical algorithms related to smoking cessation. As a General Practitioner since 2003, Caroline maintains active involvement in patient care within the NHS. Previous roles include Chief Medical Officer at Docly and Medical Director at Lloyds Online Doctor, where notable achievements included leading the company through a successful CQC inspection. Caroline served as a Digital Health Cabinet Member for the UK Government, advising on digital health strategy and policy. Caroline's educational background includes a Bachelor of Medicine from St George's, University of London, and additional qualifications in dermatology, sexual and reproductive health, and general practice.
