Dan Kawasaki

Head of Visual and User Design at HealthHive, PBC

Dan Kawasaki has worked in the field of visual and user design for over two decades. Dan began their career in 1996 as Supervisor of the New Media Division at Global Enterprise Services Internet. In 1999, they became Senior Information Architect at Fandom, Inc., where they launched a destination site for fans of science fiction, horror, and fantasy. In 2004, they worked as Senior Information Architect at Ultra 16, a boutique design studio focused on exclusive brands. From 2005 to 2006, they were Director of User Experience at Ogilvy & Mather, where they instituted a cross-functional, user-centric design process. In 2017, they became Head of Visual & User Design at UltraLinq Healthcare Solutions, Inc., where they oversaw the building, training, and development of the design teams located in multiple states. In 2018, they became Head of Visual and User Design at HealthHive, PBC, a company which empowers consumers by providing a personalized digital care ecosystem. Additionally, since 2016, they have been a Guest Lecturer at Parsons School of Design - The New School, teaching a Graduate-level User Experience course. Since 2015, they have also been an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Borough of Manhattan Community College, teaching various Multimedia Design courses.

Dan Kawasaki received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics from New York University in 1992, followed by a Master of Professional Studies in Interactive Telecommunications from the same university in 1995.
