Tom Martell

Tom Martell is an experienced quality improvement consultant currently serving as a Sr. Quality Improvement Consultant at HealthPartners since May 2021. Previously, Tom worked at Cook Children's Health Care System, where leadership of multiple process improvement teams resulted in significant cost savings and improved patient wait times. At the Healthcare Systems Engineering Institute, Tom developed dashboards for opioid prescribing and enhanced patient safety initiatives. An academic background includes a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, along with roles as a teaching assistant and project assistant during studies. Additional internship experience includes production engineering and quality engineering positions, focusing on process optimization, analytical methodologies, and team collaboration.
