Ruth Joy Michaelis

Ruth Joy Michaelis has extensive work experience in the healthcare field. Ruth Joy began their career in 2002 at HealthPoint (CHC), where they served as the Clinical Director of Education and a Family Medicine Physician. In 2008, they joined A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Health Sciences as the Regional Director of Medical Education.

Ruth Joy Michaelis has a strong educational background in various fields. Ruth Joy received their Lifestyle Coaching training from WellCoaches in 2023. Prior to that, they pursued Integrative Health studies and became a Fellow at the Association of Integrative Health in Medicine from 2020 to 2022. Additionally, they became a Certified Teacher in Enneagram from The Enneagram in the Narrative Tradition during the same time period. In terms of medical education, Ruth completed their residency in Family Medicine at Providence Hospital and Medical Centres-Graduate Medical Education from 1999 to 2002. Ruth Joy holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, attained between 1995 and 1999. Furthermore, their undergraduate studies in Psychology were carried out at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree from 1989 to 1992.
