Christine Somerville

Christine Somerville has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Christine is currently the Co-Founder and Operations & Projects leader at HealthQb Technologies, Inc., a digital health company that supports clinicians in monitoring patients' biopsychosocial health. Prior to this, they worked as a Community Manager at Toast, where they focused on fostering gender equity in mission-driven organizations. Christine also gained experience in the financial sector as a Senior Account Manager at BDC, providing financing and advisory solutions to technology companies. Christine was previously the Manager of Business Development at FrontFundr, a financial services firm specializing in investing in private capital markets. Christine holds an MBA from UBC Sauder School of Business and has worked as a Startup Consultant at entrepreneurship at UBC, a venture incubator/accelerator. Earlier in their career, they served as a Project Engineer at TC Energy, focusing on compression projects, and as a Site Project Coordinator at Bird Construction.

Christine Somerville holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Queen's University. Christine also pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship from The University of British Columbia. Additionally, Christine participated in a high school exchange program at Canadian College Italy in Lanciano, Italy. Christine has also obtained the Professional Engineer (P. Eng) certification from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
