National Director Clinical Risk And Patient Safety at Healthscope

Joanne O'Shea has a strong background in quality management, risk assessment, and patient safety in the healthcare industry. Joanne is currently serving as the National Director of Clinical Risk and Patient Safety at Healthscope since September 2021. Prior to this, Joanne worked at Icon Cancer Centre as the National Quality Manager from May 2017 to September 2021. In this role, they were responsible for developing and implementing clinical governance and risk management frameworks and collaborating with senior leaders to ensure patient safety and quality of care. Before that, they worked as the Quality, Risk, and Safety Manager at The Wesley Hospital, UCH in Brisbane from an unknown start date to 2017.

Joanne O'Shea completed the Graduate Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors from 2020 to 2021. Joanne also holds a Bachelor of Nursing degree from the Australian Catholic University and a Graduate Diploma in Management from the Frontline Management Institute.
